Falconer and craftsman Brian Hershberger started with the box I've used and perfected over several seasons and birds. The exact size of the box itself, the placement of the perch and most importantly the guillotine door are all very crucial to transporting a kestrel easily and safely. Brian took my old box, "polished the edges" and created a giant hood I'm happy to finally share because I know it works.
 
Made from abs plastic, stainless hardware and brass tread inserts, this kestrel giant hood will ship direct to you from Brian. Each box features four 2.5" vents with removable/washable foam filters, a pvc perch covered in easy-to-clean stiff plastic turf, two latches to secure the door, a top handle and a door knob.
